Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy at Studio Somnus is a carefully guided process of psychological recalibration.

People often arrive at this work after reaching a point where reflection and willpower alone no longer create the change they seek. Hypnosis offers another pathway. By entering a calm and focused state of awareness, the mind becomes more receptive to subtle shifts in perception, emotion, and behavior.

During a session, I guide you into a relaxed, attentive hypnotic state through a gentle verbal induction. Awareness remains clear throughout; most clients describe the experience as deeply calm rather than unconscious.

Within this state, entrenched patterns may begin to loosen. Emotional responses soften, mental rigidity relaxes, and new internal associations can form. This allows meaningful change to arise organically.

Each session concludes with deliberate integration and a gradual return to ordinary awareness, ensuring clarity and continuity.

Clients commonly seek hypnotherapy for:

  • anxiety and chronic stress

  • sleep disturbance or burnout

  • entrenched habits and behavioral patterns

  • performance pressure or executive presence

  • creative flow and artistic confidence

  • trauma-informed emotional recovery

  • periods of psychological or existential transition

Most engagements begin with a single session. Some clients choose to continue with a short series so that insights and changes can consolidate more fully over time.

After your first session is scheduled, you will receive a brief intake form to complete before we meet. This allows the work to be carefully tailored to your situation.

Sessions last 60 minutes and are conducted through secure live video unless otherwise arranged.

Lucid Liminal Medication

Lucid liminal meditation at Studio Somnus is designed for moments when life enters a threshold.

These are periods when something important is shifting—a career transition, a relational turning point, a creative crossroads, or a quieter inner change that has not yet taken form.

In such moments, conventional analysis can feel insufficient. Instead of seeking immediate solutions, this practice creates space for deeper perception.

Each session begins without an intake or predetermined structure. I enter a sustained meditative state while maintaining attentive presence with the client. Within this shared contemplative field, subtle psychological, emotional, and symbolic patterns often become perceptible.

Language is used carefully and sparingly. Silence is honored when it carries meaning. Insight often arises indirectly—through images, felt impressions, or emerging themes rather than analytical explanation.

Clients frequently describe the experience as clarifying. Emotional density may soften, underlying dynamics become visible, and a renewed sense of internal orientation emerges.

Lucid liminal meditation may be engaged:

  • as a standalone contemplative encounter

  • during periods of personal or professional transition

  • as exploratory groundwork before hypnotherapy

  • when intuition or symbolic insight feels particularly relevant

Because the work can be intense and revealing, many clients approach it seasonally rather than on a regular schedule.

Sessions last 60 minutes and are conducted through secure live video unless otherwise arranged.

Bibliotherapy

Bibliotherapy at Studio Somnus approaches literature not only as an expressive art form but also as a medium through which the psyche can perceive and reorganize itself.

Many clients are drawn to this work when there is a felt distance between inner experience and the language available to describe it. Through narrative, image, and form, complex emotional states can be encountered indirectly where perception softens, and new understanding begins to emerge.

Contemporary psychology suggests that such encounters engage the mind’s capacities for empathy, pattern recognition, and cognitive flexibility. Carefully curated texts act as subtle stimuli, loosening habitual structures of thought and allowing new insight to take shape.

Following a session request, you will receive a brief intake form. From this, a light reading portfolio is curated and shared in advance, allowing the session to unfold with depth and continuity. During the meeting, we engage the material through reading, reflection, dialogue, and guided attention.

Sessions may be experienced individually or within a private constellation of up to three participants. In this shared field, insight often arises through resonance rather than effort.

Bibliotherapy is especially suited for:

  • navigating questions of mortality, grief, and loss

  • giving form to complex emotional states, including depression and bipolarity

  • integrating identity and meaning during periods of transition

  • moving through personal or professional thresholds

  • cultivating symbolic insight beyond conventional analysis

  • loosening patterns of psychological stagnation

Each session stands as a complete encounter, while also allowing a deeper process to unfold over time.
